OEM — you bring the tech pack, patterns or a reference garment. We source fabric, develop samples and produce to your specification. You keep full control of the design; development takes as long as your specification requires.
ODM — you start from an existing house style and adapt fabric, colour, trims, labels and packaging to your brand. Development is shorter because the pattern and construction are already proven, and the trade-off is that you are working within an existing silhouette.
Which one is right
The honest test is what you already have.
If you have patterns and grading, OEM is straightforward. If you have a clear product idea and no technical documentation, ODM will get you to a sellable product faster than commissioning a full tech pack first — and you can move to OEM development for your second season, once the first has told you what your customers actually want.
Neither route is more professional than the other. Plenty of established brands run both simultaneously: OEM for signature styles, ODM for range fillers.
What we will not do
We do not reproduce another brand’s protected design, logo or trade dress. Bringing a garment you admire as a reference for fit, construction or fabric is normal and welcome; asking for a copy of it is not something we take on.

Before anything is cut, the construction details are written down and agreed, so the first sample answers questions rather than raising them.

Development runs as normal
From there both routes converge into sample development, grading and bulk production.

Constraints stated up front are cheaper for both of us than constraints discovered in production.
- ODM styles are a starting point, not an unlimited canvas; substantial changes become OEM development
- We do not reproduce another brand's protected design or branding
- Pattern ownership is agreed explicitly rather than assumed — ask, and we will put it in writing

How much does a pajama sample cost?
Sample cost depends on the style, fabric and customization (printing, embroidery, special trims). We confirm the exact sample fee per project before sampling starts — share your design through the quote form for a precise figure.
How long does sampling take?
Sampling time depends on style complexity, fabric availability and the number of revision rounds. We confirm a sampling timeline with each sample order and keep you updated through development.
Can I use my own pajama design?
Yes. Send a tech pack, reference sample or reference photos and we handle pattern development, grading and sampling to your design. Your designs stay confidential to your project.
Will my fit sample be washed before I approve it?
Yes — we launder fit samples before sending them. Cotton shrinks, knits relax and viscose can distort, so a sample approved unwashed is not the garment your customer receives. Approving fit on a washed sample removes the most common cause of bulk fit complaints.
Can you source custom fabrics?
Yes. Beyond stock cotton, modal, satin, jersey, flannel and viscose options, we source custom blends, custom-dyed colors and custom prints. Custom-developed fabrics carry higher minimums, which we confirm during quoting.
Can you match Pantone colors?
Yes. For custom-dyed fabrics we produce lab dips against your Pantone reference for approval before bulk dyeing, so the production color matches the approved standard.
Who owns the pattern developed for my product?
Ask us and we will put it in writing before development starts. Pattern ownership is a commercial term rather than a fixed rule, and it is better agreed at the outset than assumed. Your designs, tech packs and reference materials stay confidential to your project either way.
